Abstract

Pembangunan sebuah gedung terdapat suatu utilitas keamanan salah satunya adalah sistem instalasi Sprinkler yang dirancang sesuai dengan standar proteksi kebakaran yang disiapkan untuk mencegah, memadamkan dan menanggulangi kebakaran dalam bangunan gedung terutama laboratorium. UNUGHA Cilacap mempunyai Laboratorium seperti Laboratorium Proses Manufaktur, APK Ergonomi, dan Pengujian Mesin. Jumlah Sprinkler, ketersediaan air, dan dimensi bak reservoir menjadi faktor utama yang perlu diperhatikan dalam perencanaan sistem proteksi kebakaran. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui jumlah Sprinkler yang sesuai untuk labolatorium tersebut, mengetahui ketersedian air, dan kebutuhan bak reservoir untuk laboratorium. Metodologi penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan perancangan sistem proteksi kebakaran dengan mempertimbangkan kebahayaan kebakaran ringan, arahan Sprinkler ke bawah, kepekaan terhadap suhu, kepadatan pancaran, dan perhitungan volume kebutuhan air serta dimensi bak reservoir. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa jumlah Sprinkler yang diperlukan di masing-masing ruangan laboratorium adalah 6 buah, dengan ketersediaan air sebesar 6,75 m³ untuk operasional sistem Sprinkler selama 30 menit. Dimensi optimal bak reservoir adalah panjang 2 m, lebar 2 m, dan tinggi 3 m, dengan volume total bak air sebesar 12 m³.

The construction of a building includes a security utility, one of which is the Sprinkler system installation designed in accordance with fire protection standards prepared to prevent, extinguish, and mitigate fires in the building, especially in laboratories. UNUGHA Cilacap has laboratories such as the Manufacturing Process Laboratory, Ergonomics APK Laboratory, and Machine Testing Laboratory. The number of Sprinklers, water availability, and the dimensions of the reservoir tank are crucial factors to be considered in the planning of the fire protection system. This research aims to determine the appropriate number of Sprinklers for the laboratories, identify water availability, and ascertain the reservoir tank requirements for the laboratories. The research methodology employs a fire protection system design approach, taking into account the hazards of light fire, the direction of downward Sprinkler, temperature sensitivity, spray density, and calculations of water demand volume as well as reservoir tank dimensions. The research findings indicate that the required number of Sprinklers in each laboratory room is 6 units, with water availability of 6.75 m³ for the Sprinkler system's operational duration of 30 minutes. The optimal dimensions of the reservoir tank are a length of 2 meters, a width of 2 meters, and a height of 3 meters, with a total water tank volume of 12 m³..
