Abstract

Lahan pertanian sempit sehingga perlu dikembangkannya konsep pertanian pada lahan terbatas menggunakan sistem hidroponik. Salah satu model yang sering digunakan adalah Nutrient Film Technique (NFT). Sistem hidroponik NFT mempunyai beberapa permasalahan yaitu perlengkapan membuat hidroponik membutuhkan komponen peralatan banyak, kebutuhan listrik tinggi karena selalu menyala dan sistem kontrol nutrisi pada tanaman kurang.
Berdasarkan permasalahan tersebut penelitian ini bertujuan menghasilkan rancang bangun hidroponik type NFT yang presisi menggunakan sensor Total Dissolved Solid (TDS) dan menghasilkan performansi mesin yang efektif. Metode yang digunakan pada penelitian ini yaitu rancang bangun keteknikan. Tahapannya dimulai dari melakukan uji rancangan struktural meliputi komponen-komponen dari hidroponik yang dirancang.
Untuk uji rancangan fungsional meliputi fungsi-fungsi bagian pada sistem hidroponik model NFT untuk mengatur fungsi kinerja pada mesin pompa menggunakan mikro kontroler arduino uno. Hasil penelitian yang diperoleh yaitu rancang bangun sistem hidroponik NFT mampu membaca kadar nutrisi secara otomatis menggunakan sensor TDS yang dirangkai dengan mikrokontroler arduino uno.

The agricultural land is narrow so it is necessary to develop an agricultural concept on limited land using a hydroponic system. One model that is often used is Nutrient Film Technique (NFT).
The NFT hydroponic system has several problems, namely the equipment for making hydroponics requires many equipment components, high electricity needs because it is always on and the nutritional control system in plants is lacking.
Based on these problems, this study aims to produce a precise hydroponic design of the NFT type using a Total Dissolved Solid (TDS) sensor and produce an effective engine performance. The method used in this research is engineering design. The stages start from carrying out structural design tests including the components of the hydroponics being designed.
To test the functional design includes the functions of the part of the NFT model hydroponic system to adjust the performance functions of the pump engine using the Arduino Uno micro controller. The results obtained are that the hydroponic NFT system design is able to read nutrient levels automatically using a TDS sensor coupled with an Arduino uno microcontroller.
