Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui konseling kelompok teknik self management dapat mengurangiperilaku prokrastinasi akademik siswa di SMP YA BAKII 1 Kesugihan. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode eksperimen. Desain penelitian yang digunakan yaitu Nonequivalent Control Group Design melibatkan pengukuran dua kelompok-kelompok eksperimen dan kelompok control sebelum (pretest) dan sesudah (posttest) mereka menerima perlakuan; kelompok tersebut tidak dipilih secara acak.Teknik data yang digunakan adalah angket, wawancara. Hasil penelitian data setelah penerapan layanan konseling kelompok teknik self management menunjukan penurunan prokrastinasi pada siswa kelas VIII SMP YA BAKII 1 Kesugihan, Hal ini terlihat penurunan yang signifikan sesudah melakukan treatment yang diberikan oleh peneliti. Hasil pre-test diperoleh nilai rata-rata sebesar 89, sehingga menghasilkan nilai sebesar 780. Siswa menunjukkan berkurangnya prokrastinasi akademik setelah diberikan terapi, dibuktikan dengan nilai post-test sebesar 683 dengan nilai rata-rata/mean sebesar
68. kelompok kontrol juga. Ho ditolak berdasarkan hasil analisis data uji T yang menunjukkan nilai –t < -t tabel atau t hitung > t tabel (12,775 < -2,262 atau 12,775
> 2,262). Jadi dapat disimpulkan koseling kelompok teknik self management efektif untuk mengurangi prokrastinasi pada siswa kelas VIII di SMP YA BAKII 1 Kesugihan tahun pembelajaran 2023/2024.

The purpose of this research is to determine whether self-management technique group counseling can reduce students' academic procrastination behavior at SMP YA BAKII 1 Kesugihan. This research is using experimental method. The research design used was nonequivalent control group design, an experiment carried out with measurements before (pretest) and after (posttest) giving treatment to two groups, namely the experimental group and the control group, however the experimental and control groups were not chosen randomly. The data techniques used are questionnaires, interviews. The results of data research after implementing self-management technique group counseling services showed a decrease in procrastination in class VIII students of SMP YA BAKII 1 Kesugihan. This was seen as a significant decrease after carrying out the treatment given by the researcher. From the pre-test results, a score of 780 was obtained with an average score of 89. After receiving treatment, students were tested again with a decrease in academic procrastination in the form of a post-test score of 683 with an average score/mean of 68. In the control class also decreased. Based on the results of the T test data analysis showing the value of –t count < -t tabel or t count > t table (12.775 < -2.262 or 12.775 > 2.262) then Ho is rejected. So it can be concluded that self-management technique group counseling is effective in reducing procrastination in class VIII students at SMP YA BAKII 1 Kesugihan for the 2023/2024 academic year.
