Abstract

Pembelajaran IPA masih menggunakan metode ceramah, guru cenderung lebih banyak memberikan penjelasan materi atau guru sebagai sumber utama pengetahuan. Kondisi tersebut menyebabkan rendahnya hasil belajar siswa, dibuktikan dengan sebanyak 57% dari siswa berjumlah 54 orang belum mencapai KKM yang telah ditentukan. Oleh karena dibutuhkan model pembelajaran Problem Based Learning untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis efektivitas pembelajaran IPA dengan model Problem Based Learning terhadap hasil belajar siswa kelas V SD IT Buah Hati Cilacap.
Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif dengan jenis penelitian eksperimen. Teknik pengambilan sampel yang digunakan adalah purposive sampling. Subyek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VA SD IT Buah Hati sebagai kelas eksperimen dan siswa kelas VB SD IT Buah Hati sebagai kelas kontrol. Instrumen pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah lembar tes. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan yaitu uji validitas konstruk, uji prasyarat penelitian serta uji hipotesis meliputi uji t test dan uji N-gain.
Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa model Problem Based Learning efektif terhadap hasil belajar siswa kelas V SD. Dibuktikan dengan peningkatan hasil ketuntasan klasikal pretest 59% meningkat menjadi 93% pada postest. Dan dibuktikan dengan hasil uji independent sample test memiliki nilai Sig. sebesar 0,000 < 0,05 dan hasil perhitungan N-gain diperoleh nilai sebesar 0,39 dengan kategori sedang.

Science learning still uses the lecture method, teachers tend to provide more explanations of the material or the teacher is the main source of knowledge. This condition causes low student learning outcomes, as evidenced by the fact that 57% of the 54 students have not reached the specified KKM. Therefore, a Problem Based Learning model is needed to improve student learning outcomes. The aim of this research is to analyze the effectiveness of science learning using the Problem Based Learning model on the learning outcomes of fifth grade students at SD IT Buah Hati Cilacap.
This research is quantitative research with the type of experimental research. The sampling technique used was purposive sampling. The subjects of this research were students in class VA at SD IT Buah Hati as the experimental class and students in class VB at SD IT Buah Hati as the control class. The data collection instrument used was a test sheet. The data analysis techniques used are construct validity testing, research prerequisite testing and hypothesis testing including the t test and N-gain test.
The results of the research show that the Problem Based Learning model is effective on the learning outcomes of fifth grade elementary school students. This is proven by the increase in classical completion results in the pretest from 59% to 93% in the posttest. And it is proven by the independent sample test results that it has a Sig value. amounting to 0.000 < 0.05 and the results of the N-gain calculation obtained a value of 0.39 in the medium category.
