EFEKTIVITAS TEKNIK MODELLING UNTUK MENINGKATKAN KEMAMPUAN PEMILIHAN KARIR SISWA DI MAN 1 CILACAP

Kesulitan dan hambatan siswa dalam menentukan pemilihan karir sering terjadi di lingkungan sekolah. Sehingga banyak sekali siswa yang mengalami kesulitan dalam menentukan karirnya ketika telah menyelesaikan Pendidikan di sekolah Menengah Atas. Tujuan yang diharapkan dalam penelitian ini yaitu untuk mengetahui efektivitas teknik modelling untuk meningkatkan kemampuan siswa dalam memilih karir dimasa depan.
Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian eksperimen dengan jenis metode penelitian kuasi eksperimen yang pelaksanaannya dimulai dengan pemberian pre test terhadap kelompok eksperiment dan kontrol, lalu pemberian treatment/perlakuan terhadap kelompok eksperimen, dan tahap terakhir diberikan post test.
Populasi dalam penelitian ini yaitu siswa MAN 1 Cilacap kelas VII dimana sampel diambil dengan menggunakan teknik purposive sampling yang kemudian menjadi kelompok eksperimen dan kontrol, lalu mendapatkan 14 sampel siswa dari hasil penyebaran angket pre test dalam kategori kemampuan pemilihan karir dikategorikan rendah. Yang mana dari hasil sampel tersebut dibagi menjadi dua kelompok yaitu kelompok eksperimen dan kelompok kontrol, dimana kelompok eksperinen diberikan treatment/perlakuan yaitu dengan menggunakan teknik modelling sedangkan kelompok kontrol tidak diberikan treatment/perlakuan apapun, setelah itu baru dilakukan pemberian angket post test.
Dari hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa pemilihan karir sebelum diberikan treatment adalah rendah. Berdasarkan hasil penghitungan pre test- post test menunjukan hasil yang tidak signifikan, dimana hasil dari tabel uji analisis paired sampel statistik hasil pre test dan post test pada kelompok eksperimen bahwa hasil dari pre test 27.14 sedangkan hasu post test 36.00, dilihat dari hasil angket yang tidak mengalami peningkatan pada tingkat kemampuan siswa dalam pemilihan karir. Maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa tidak ada efektivitas teknik modelling untuk meningkatkan kemampuan siswa dalam pemilihan karir di MAN 1 Cilacap.

Students' difficulties and obstacles in determining career choices often occur in the school environment. So many students experience difficulties in determining their career when they have completed their education at high school. The expected goal of this research is to determine the effectiveness of modeling techniques to improve students' abilities in choosing a career in the future.
This research uses an experimental research method with a quasi-experimental research method, the implementation of which begins with giving a pre-test to the experimental and control groups, then giving treatment to the experimental group, and in the final stage, giving a post-test.
The population in this study were MAN 1 Cilacap class VII students where samples were taken using a purposive sampling technique which then became experimental and control groups, then obtained 14 student samples from the results of distributing pre-test questionnaires in the career selection ability category which was categorized as low. The sample results were divided into two groups, namely the experimental group and the control group, where the experimental group was given treatment, namely using modeling techniques, while the control group was not given any treatment, after that a post-test questionnaire was given.
The research results show that career choice before being given treatment is low. Based on the results of the pre test-post test calculations, the results were not significant, where the results from the paired sample statistical analysis test table of the pre test and post test results in the experimental group were that the results from the pre test were 27.14 while the results from the post test were 36.00, seen from the results of the questionnaire which did not experienced an increase in the level of student ability in choosing a career. So it can be concluded that there is no effectiveness of modeling techniques to improve students' abilities in choosing a career at MAN 1 Cilacap.
