Abstract
Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui strategi pembentukan akhlak peserta didik, faktor pendukung serta penghambat dalam membentuk akhlak peserta didik yang dilakukan oleh guru pendidikan agama Islam di MTs Negeri 4 Cilacap.
Penelitian ini dilakukan penelitian lapangan dengan menggunakan pendekatan penelitian deskriptif kualitatif, dengan metode wawancara, observasi dan dokumentasi demi memperoleh data kemudian diolah serta dianalisa sehingga menjadi suatu kesimpulan. Penelitian ini berlokasi di MTs Negeri 4 Cilacap. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah kepala sekolah, guru Pendidikan Agama Islam, guru Bimbingan Konseling dan peserta didik.
Berdasarkan analisis yang peneliti lakukan menunjukkan bahwa strategi guru Pendidikan Agama Islam dalam membentuk akhlak peserta didik di MTs Negeri 4 Cilacap melalui berbagai metode, yaitu keteladanan, pembiasaan, arahan, nasehat, dan hukuman. Dalam upaya pembentukan akhlak tersebut terdapat faktor pendukung dan juga faktor penghambat dalam pelaksanaannya. Faktor pendukungnya yaitu didikan dari orang tua, guru yang berkompeten yang dapat dijadikan teladan, kegiatan rutinan keagamaan, ekstrakurikuler, dan fasilitas sekolah yang memadai. Sedangkan faktor penghambatnya yaitu kurangnya kesadaran dalam diri peserta didik, faktor lingkungan dan pergaulan, pengaruh hp/ teknologi, dan kurangnya perhatian serta pengawasan dari orang tua.

The aim of this research is to determine the strategies of Islamic Religious Education teachers in forming students’ morals, supporting and inhibiting factors in forming students’ morals and efforts to overcome problems in forming students’ morals at MTs Negeri 4 Cilacap.
This research was conducted as field research using a descriptive research approach, using interview, obervation and documentation methods to obtain data which was then processed and analyzed to form a conclusion. This research was located at MTs Negeri 4 Cilacap. The subjects in the research were school principals, Islamic Religious Education teachers, Guidance Counseling teachers and students.
Based on the analysis carried out by researchers, it shows that the strategy of Islamic Religious Education teachers in shaping the morals of students at MTs Negeri 4 Cilacap is trough various methods, namely example, habituation, direction, advice and punishment. In the effort to form morals, there are supporting factors and also inhibiting factors in its implementation. Supporting factors are upbringing from parents, competent teachers who can be role models, routine religious activities, extracurricular activities, and adequate school facilities. Meanwhile, the inhibiting factors are lack of awareness among students, anvironmental and social factors, the influence of cellphones/ technology, and supervision from parents.
